Last October, my mother and I went on one of our adventures together. We decided that we wanted to find out about the Malahat Skywalk which opened earlier in 2021.
The day started out overcast and raining, but had cleared up around 11am and turned out to be a beautiful day. The Skywalk wasn’t too challenging to do as it is a circular wooden slope all the way to the top. The top there was a view of Mill Bay and a net that one can walk on and see all the way down. There is also a circular slide which runs down the center of the structure.
The reason I mention both the net and the slide is because it took courage for me in my 40s to step on the net and to go down the slide. My mother, on the other hand, who is in her late 70s was excited to try all of it. I think I need to take a page out of her book of life.
